New ideas rs. Rose ?

Mrs. Rose! i have a great idea for a class project.  we should do a circus theme and have a contest to see who can do the best face paint, and in the end take pictures and make a full collage.

Circus face paint and make up is extremely extravagant to the eyeliner and eyelashes.  the lips are painted to look bigger than they really are and any color can be used.  spots and spikes are painted lots on the face of a circus freak.

in my eyes everyone's a freak in there own business.  I think that not only the costumes and makeup and hair that people at circuses wear is art but hanging in the air and doing spins and concurring the fear of being that high in the air is also art.  its not a permanent form of art but temporary for viewers to enjoy while they can.

These are some examples of female circus and even dance, specially painted faces.
Here are some examples of male circus makeup....

What do you think about this idea? and if not a class project could i possibly do this on face models or on molds of a face for my series???

ohh the possibilities.

proposal idea number two- snowballing

my second idea for my proposal is to make a stop motion of what looks like a virtual book.  I've done stop motions before and its one of my strong points when it comes to digital art and technology.  I would put all my ideas on paper and stop motion it.  a stop motion is a sequence of pictures that in the end is like a stop and go movie or a giff.

proposal snowball one

Soo before i start my series i have to make a proposal but the proposal is the biggest part of the series besides the artwork itself. hears my thought on how to do my proposal.

Have you ever seen and movie where there's a young girl trying to make it in a fashion world, she has her sketch book with all her ideas that she made? that's my idea, to put all my ideas into a sketch book and explain it in pictures, and colors and words.

art series snowball number two - the sky high moods

This is the second idea for my series.  This idea along with my first idea dealing with the traditional women in their ceremonial dress is a series connected by topic and concept.  This idea is taking the sky in its mood.  The sunset, the storm, the sunny day, and the rain.  and creating each mood through the colors of the sky.

traditional cultural dress - snowball number one

My first project in a grade 12 art class is to make a series of artworks that are connected by materials or by topic.  I must create a minimum of 3 art works to start my series.  I have 3 ideas for my series.  Now is just brainstorming and snowballing ideas off of my art teacher and my creative mommy at home.

My first idea was to take three cultures culture and create an abstract version of a women from this culture in her traditional dress.  My ideas for the cultures was Chinese, east Indian, and traditional aboriginal, or Hawaiian

.  This is traditional and ceremonial dress for a woman in china. they dress very bright in red, gold, white and pink.  they were a very detailed headdress and there hair is usually pulled back from their face or done up.  the color red in their culture means alot to them.  it is a very respectful color.

This is an example of traditional east indian dress for a women. They were a veil over there hads, and dress in very bright vibrant colors.  gold and silver, also gems and lace are very common in theirstyle.  showing s little bit of skin is not a big deal in this culture.

This is a traditional jingle dress that the aboriginal wear during celebrations called powwows.  These dress's are decorated with bright colors and small bells that make the jingle sound when dancing.  part of why dancing is the music. animal furs and feathers may be incorporated into the outfit as well.
